Report on San Diego Medical Marijuana Task Force

By: Larry Sweet, February 19, 2010

Today we discussed possession and plant limits for a while as it was a
sub-committee report. It was continued till next meeting as an action
item. There was a spirited debate on the necessity of an annual audit
and how that cost might impact smaller collectives. In the end we
continued a motion that was originally crafted by Steve Whitburn,
removing the requirement for an audit. We will discuss what method,
other than an annual audit might suffice to assuage the fears of those
that suspect profiteering.

While we have made few new recommendations, we have been working out a
viable structure for regulations. The two action items alone for the
next meeting will have great impact on the situation.
